Nabatieh, the second-largest Shiite city in southern Lebanon, is facing significant challenges due to the ongoing conflict. With a pre-war population of 75,000, only a few hundred residents remain, indicating a drastic reduction in urban capacity.

The conflict has resulted in the tragic loss of 42 rescue workers since March 2, including 16-year-old Joude Souleiman, who was killed by an Israeli drone strike. This highlights the dangerous conditions under which rescue operations are conducted.

The infrastructure is under severe strain, as the remaining population relies heavily on the limited resources available. The risks faced by rescue teams further complicate the situation, impacting their ability to operate effectively.
